Swithin Fry
Initiator of The Spirit Within

Swithin worked with people in their Third Age for some ten years: as a carer with a company dedicated to helping people remain in their homes rather than have to go into a hospital or hospice; and entertaining in retirement homes with book and poetry readings as well as singing alongside a professional pianist.

He has worked as a lay celebrant and also become a Soul Advocate through qualifying in ‘Embracing Dying’ which helps people who are terminally ill, and their families, approach dying with dignity and love.

Swithin is also a fully-qualified Shiatsu therapist, and is currently studying to become a Reiki healer.

He started his career as a staff journalist before becoming a freelance writer and teacher. He has written poetry, with a nine-verse poem of his performed by an award-winning, inclusive dance company. He has also written several plays, solo-performing in one of them at two major theatre festivals in the UK; and he was commissioned by a UK theatre to write a musical for an inclusive theatre company.

He facilitates writing workshops on Calm Creativity (using awareness and focus to open to one’s inner voice); and is currently researching a writing workshop on Calm Spirituality.

For more information about future workshops, contact him through this website or email him at thespiritwithinusall@gmail.com
