“Laughing and ‘being laughed at’ both come within our belief system, Everyone.”

“I understand, My Zen Master. When I feel ‘laughed at’ it really hurts and it can take many years for that to heal, if ever, when I think of the person or people who I felt ‘laughed at me’.”

“I am the same, Everyone. And that hurt, of course, comes not from the actual ridicule, rather it comes from the original hurt, perhaps when we were children – and that original hurt embedded itself to become part of our belief system.”

“Thank you, My Zen Master. I am ready to ponder ‘being laughed at’.”
