My Zen Master said: 47

“Would you like a drink of water?”

“Thank you!” It had been an unusually hot morning for the time of year… My Zen Master poured two drinks into his wonderful almost globe-like glasses and passed one to me. My Zen Master slowly drank about a third of the water in one go…and then he held the glass up to the light.

“In this crystal water,” he said, “I can see into the future.”

My Zen Master then slowly drank another third of the water and again how the glass up to the light.

“And in this crystal water, I can see into the past”

Then, he gently put his glass on his altar.

“This, however, is all I want to see, now and forever.

“The present.”

I could hear that coming! A good one, though!
